Voyage Healthcare is pleased to announce a new arrangement with Minneapolis Heart Institute® (MHI) at our Plymouth clinic. Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month, Minneapolis Heart Institute® providers will be available and onsite to meet the cardiology needs of our patients. Minneapolis Heart Institute is well-known locally, and nationally, for its exceptional cardiology care for patients.

Scheduling Your Appointment
Voyage Healthcare patients are now able to take advantage of centralized scheduling for both Minneapolis Heart Institute® and Voyage Healthcare needs through the front desk of our Plymouth location or through our team of schedulers at (763) 587-7999. Our lines are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Saturday appointment lines open 8:30 am to 12:00 noon.

Know the Warning Signs
The heart is a remarkable, powerful organ. The more you know about how your heart works and what you can do to help it work better, the healthier and more in control of your life you’ll feel. Here are a few reminders that can help you take good care of that hard-working heart!
In addition to being keenly aware of your family history and any risk factors you may have, your heart often gives you clues if something isn’t working optimally. While these clues can be subtle, it’s always important to pay attention to these warning signs and be in touch with your healthcare provider if you have any concerns.
Warning Signs
- If you are experiencing any chest pain, chest tightness, chest pressure and/or chest discomfort, take note.
- If participating in routine activities that don’t typically cause you to lose your breath, pay attention if you are suddenly experiencing shortness of breath. This could be your heart alerting you to something being off.
- Your heart works hard pumping blood to all your extremities, if you are experiencing pain, numbness, weakness or coldness in your legs or arms the blood vessels in those parts of your body may be narrowed.
- Pain in the neck, jaw, throat, upper abdomen or back – many would not typically link their heart to these ailments, but it is a certain warning sign that you should be aware of.
